April 10th – – I have accepted The Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge to write daily about my disease. #HAWMC @wegohealth Favorite books about Lyme When I was first diagnosed with Lyme, I couldn’t read a book. I couldn’t even read a chapter of a book. And if I read the chapter, my retention was zero. Reading was slow and painful. But if you are a loved one of a Lyme patient, these are all excellent books to read . . . Above all, I recommend everyone watch the movie ‘Under Our Skin.’ This movie will give everyone a good idea of a Lyme warrior’s life. I had been diagnosed for only two months when I first watched it. It was VERY difficult to watch as it validated so much of what I had experienced. We need more books about this disease. What causes it, how to treat it, what it’s like to be a patient . . .
